Lung Cancer Screening

Screening with low-dose computed tomography (LDCT) has been proven to reduce lung cancer mortality by detecting tumors at an early, curable stage.

Who Should Get Screened?

The screening program in Geneva is recommended for individuals who meet the following criteria:

  • Age: Between 50 and 75 years old.
  • Smoking History: Current smoker or former smoker who has quit within the last 15 years.
  • Intensity: A history of heavy smoking (e.g., a pack a day for 20 years or more).
